Brighton Belle
Windscreen wiper systems case study.
Commissioned as the flagship of the Southern Railway’s mass electrification project, the ‘Brighton Belle’ was the world’s only electric all-Pullman service, running daily between London and Brighton from 1 January 1933 until 30 April 1972. PSV has been working closely with the ‘5BEL Trust’ a charitable organisation responsible for restoring the original EMU and returning it to active service. The project is the largest and most complex heritage rail restoration project currently underway in the UK.
